Is their a way to see where an attempted VPN connection is failing?

I know I can run tracert within a DOS window but I?m looking for something within the VPN connection that shows where an attempted VPN connection is failing.

I?m in the midst of converting our IP scheme in the office from a public to a private IP address scheme. If I use the old IP address scheme on a laptop they can VPN back to their office from our office. But when I move them to a 10.x.x.x IP address VPN fails, put them back to old IP and it works. Etc, etc etc. They can surf the web etc on the 10., so it?s not a LAN problem, it?s only when they attempt to connect to their office via VPN that the failure occurs

Since a lot of hands, i.e. routers, are in the pot I?d like to be able to pinpoint where the failure is occurring and contact the right person

Thanks in advance

Need more information. Usually when you have a VPN setup, a range of IP address is setup to allow to tunnel thru the VPN connection. I would check if the new IP addresses you are giving them are covered in the allowed IP address range. If not, no traffic is tunneling thru the VPN connection.
