I'm using an Efficient Networks ADSL Modem/Router and having infrequent problems w/ service hangs. My ISP (TDS Telecom) tells me they have reports of the Efficient Networks equipment having problems w/ VPN sessions causing the modem to hang, either requiring a power-cycle or just sitting it out while the modem restores itself. Well, i've had about enough of that so i'm looking for another modem that doesn't have issues w/ VPN.

I've had great success with the Cisco 67x series (675 & 678) but availability is an issue. Did Cisco ever make a replacement for the 67x series? The modem is used in a small-business atmosphere so i don't need anything real extravagent in terms of the routing capabilities (handled by our Cisco 1710 router - and yes i wish i had the 1720 w/ the availability of using a DSL wick). Anyway, looking for some suggestions on business-class adsl modems in the $100-200 range if possible.

Never heard of Zoom - don't know if i can trust it. I'd prefer to go w/ Cisco gear.

They've been around a while. They bought the rights for Hayes.

Coming out with a DSL Modem only for those that want to use Cisco or other Routers. It's called the Bridge DSL Modem.
