VP201 or DELL2001FP

Im in this same position.
I use the 2001fp at work and i think its great. I cant seem to find any deals on this one right now, and i might have the option of getting the viewsonic at a considerable discount.
Are both these guys the same for al intents and purposes?

I know that the DELL 2001FP uses a BENQ panel. See the link below:

How does it compare against the Viewsonic VP201?

Dell 2001FP uses LG/Phillips panel. Benq manufactures and assembles the 2001FP for Dell to rebadge.

Viewsonic VP201 uses the same LG/Phillips panel as Dell 2001FP. So both are basically the same monitor. Dell has more features and usually cheaper for US resident. Several companies use the same LG/Phillips panel on their 20" LCD including Dell, Viewsonic, and Benq.

Thanks, just ordered the 2001fp. With the 20% off deal at dell home + free ship $719, it came out to less than the vp with the emplyees discount my friend could get me.

Was weird asking for opinions on the monitor im currently staring at. (I use a 2001 at work).

Now all im regretting is whether or not i should have gotten the faster but smaller vp912b.. oh well.
