VP tours border facilities with press who find horrible conditions.

You have to remember that Trump basically said -- The conditions that the people are in right now, are better than where they were coming from!!
Does that make any sense …..hmmm

But....
Playing devils advocate here.

What are we to do when so many, hundreds, thousands, come to the border seeking asylum?
Let them in while we assign a lawyer to their case?
How many lawyers are there anyway? And who pays for the lawyer?
And in the mean time, do these immigrants just walk in and go about their life anywhere they please within American society?
And when that court date comes up, can they even be found?

Seriously, what are the alternatives here?
And.... are Americans willing to pay for those alternatives?
If thousands are allowed to simply stroll in by crossing the border, is there no limit to the number?
I've lived in San Diego for most of my life, so what happens when 100,000 immigrants cross the border and allowed to simply walk the streets of San Diego?
Heck.... I'd take them to my favorite hangout. Blacks Beach. 😛

I think this is a case of so many wanting to come to America, and we have not a clue what to do.
How long are these immigrants to be held in lockup?
And if released while in waiting, released to where?
Sounds like some laws need to be changed. But we have a congress that refuses to do that. Or to do anything.
Even when republicans controlled everything, congress still refused to do anything, so.... you can't just blame the democrats.

I think the CBP people down at the facility level know it's fucked up so they just let the truth out because otherwise it won't change other than for the worse.

And where is the attempt to deal with the deeper truths of the matter? The Northern Triangle countries are vassals of American Capitalism. We've allowed things to get so screwed up there that hundreds of thousands of people give up what they have & drag their little kids 1500 miles to throw themselves at the mercy of America, the greatest nation on Earth. It's a profound failure of our own leadership that this is happening.

pshhhh, the Senate passed the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013 with a bi-partisan vote. it was John Boehner that wouldn't hold a vote in the House in the name of being anti-Obama.

moral at the CBP has to be in the shitter, if they can find one. the net result being more qualified people leaving the department for the private sector.

It's a winnowing out process where the most thuggish will stay & newcomers have to be willing to go with the program. Wash, rinse & repeat.

Mike Pence after: Don't believe your lyin eyes.

CNN showed the family detention center with almost nobody in it. Meanwhile DHS's own IG's report detailed widespread crowding, health, sanitrary, and humanitarian issues at DHS facilities and Pence just fucking ignored CNN when they asked him about it.

This is a manufactured crisis in the sense that the administration he is a part of changed policy to hold as many people as possible in detention no matter the consequences. These are the results of that decision. Blaming the Democrats for your own choices is the kind of extremely hypocritical bullshit I'd expect from a white evangelical like him.

Look what you made us do!

Don't believe your lying eyes!
Seems if you aren't lying down in a Mylar blanket, you are standing up. What problem?

Cruelty and mistreatment is the official policy of the US government. No getting around it.

Yep, the lard ass orange pus bag, says exactly the opposite of what was found.

Trump calls children's detention centers 'well run and clean,' despite shocking reports from Pence visit

With this disgusting pig, truth really isn't truth.

Remember folks, to vote in 2020.
