I've decided I am going to get a tattoo, and I think it will probably be a diagram of the caffeine molecule (like you see on geek tshirts and coffee mugs like at thinkgeek.com).
But I'm also wanting other suggestions so maybe I can find something even better (although I really like the caffeine molecule idea). If I really like the one tattoo, I may go back for another at some point and I'll still need ideas.
The point of the thread isn't to get ideas though. 🙂 What I'm looking for is how I can set up a poll that will allow people to suggest things as well as vote.
The ticketing system at my office uses something like this. A vote is created without any options to vote for, just the question. There's a form where you can put in your own suggestion and description of it. So then your suggestion appears as an option for others to vote for (your vote automatically goes to the one you suggested, so you can't really make more than one suggestion). If you vote for something else while your own suggestion has 0 votes, then your suggestion disappears from the list. So as people make suggestions the list changes. People can either vote for one that someone else suggested, or they can make up their own.
I tried getting this one put onto our vote page, but the admin didn't reply to me. (Not surprising for me. I've been emailing someone about work stuff all week and everyone's wondering why he's still reading what I send, since everybody else just deletes anything with my name on it. And then somebody else whom I've never emailed before I had to email and I thought I'd offended him on something, and everybody around me was using the phrase "go ahead and alienate the last person in the company that hasn't heard your name".) Anyway.
One of my coworkers suggested one site, www.mycomputer.com, which lets you make up your own poll, but that requires an existing list of options, and I want to be able to let people add to the list.
So, from all that: where, if anywhere, can I find a vote/poll like that where I can create my own for free?
