The Texas secretary of state announced in January they found 95,000 illegals had cast 58,000 illegal votes. Granted not all in the latest election, but there will still illegal votes.

Voter guidance in Texas

Through this evaluation, the Texas Secretary of State's office discovered that a total of approximately 95,000 individuals identified by DPS as non-U.S. citizens have a matching voter registration record in Texas, approximately 58,000 of whom have voted in one or more Texas elections.

This did not go unnoticed by the prez. who tweeted
58,000 non-citizens voted in Texas, with 95,000 non-citizens registered to vote. These numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. All over the country, especially in California, voter fraud is rampant. Must be stopped. Strong voter ID! @foxandfriends

Who would have thought that it was, and I hate this phrase, fake news.

Oops, just kidding

Texas Secretary of State David Whitley has agreed to halt an investigation into the citizenship status of registered voters in a settlement agreement that will end three lawsuits filed by civil rights groups and naturalized citizens.

Under the settlement announced Friday, Whitley will rescind a Jan. 25 advisory that questioned the citizenship status of almost 100,000 registered voters but was determined to be based on flawed data that implicated a significant number of naturalized U.S. citizens who were legally eligible to vote.

I wonder if the great leader will make another tweet correcting his original tweet? What are the odds of that?

I remember reading at the time that the "omg 58,000 non-citizens voted" claim was misrepresented by the xenophobes... hey, turns out that was right.

This is what's frustrating about statistics in politics. So many people either deliberately spin stats or, more importantly, don't really understand what those stats mean. The 58K figure didn't mean that those people were non-citizens at the time they voted, but you wouldn't know that if you listened to Trump and his drones.

Slim to none and double down on stupid. Apparently that's better than correcting course and becoming an apologist in the mind of idiots.

Shame that they didn't have some mad dog lawyer willing to say "fuck you" to the settlement and fucking tear these clownservatives a new asshole over them trying to smear legal US citizens using their goddamn right to vote. Frivolous bullshit like this should be met with consequences for the assholes perpetrating them.

Telling lies works. Abbott lied and lied and lied about the Red River and got himself elected Governor. As Governor, he's done exactly jack ÷ shiit about the Red River. Turns out that doing something is more difficult than telling lies about it.

We should welcome illegals to vote. They don't vote for the man the Russians determined would do the most damage if he won the Presidency and spent millions convincing our own citizen dope to elect. A country full of brain-washable boobs needs all the help it can get. No wonder the Zombie Apocalypse theme is so big today.

Trump supporters stopped giving a shit about the truth a long time ago.

They have this caricature... of "the left" in their mind (whoever the fuck this "left" is .... someone I have never personally known or met in my life) and continue to bleat and rage daily about what the left thinks, and how the left feels, and what the left has done now... They live in a fantasy world that is fueled by a very, VERY overactive fear center. People with normal brains can control this knee jerk reflexivity and make rational decision based on evidence, facts, and truths...

Nope, not these Trump supporters. They live in FUD, build libtard straw men every day, torch those straw men on the Internet (cuz that's what real tough guys do), they high five and pat each other's ass about how Patriotic they are... They attend Trump rallies where they are openly bigoted, racist, and unAmerican.

Nope, I don't think we are going to be able to live in the same country as them after this. One they openly hate. One the founding fathers came to so they could be free of rulers like Trump and their accomplices... Sorry Mexico, we have a delivery for you. YOU might have to build a wall...

History has a nasty way of repeating itself. Rise again. Please...

So then the right wing operating procedures under the Trump banner is:

Throw some bullshit against the wall and whatever sticks is good as gold.

If the gold turns out to be fool's gold then double down on it.

If the double down backfires, just ignore it and make like it never happened until.....

Trump revives it by repeating the lie and now it's good as gold again.

Any lie will do, so long as it's bad for the Dems and good for the Repubs.

The GOP's foundation is built on layers upon layers of bullshit simply because the party has to lie to their working class constituency about prioritizing their needs first and foremost while the very first thing they do when taking control of the gov't is to give the wealthy tax cuts and attempt to take away any and all benefits that the Democrats gave them.

And all their working class folks who repeatedly get stiffed by their GOP leaders in this way either cheer on this act of backstabbing them or simply stay quiet about it.

Simply an amazing thing to witness over and over again.

I first saw this story in the Yellow Bullet forums. They are Trump supporters and it is interesting Sickening how they believe everything the Cheeto says. The comments about this story were that there were more than 58,000 illlegla votes, Texas will now be a Blue state, this is what the democrats want..........

Of course there is silence on that thread when someone posted that Texas was backing off from their claims.

The only way to get the truth out of these slimey fuckers is to get them under oath. That's why Trump's lawyers did everything in their power to prevent him testifying under oath.

Even when you get them under oath (or the equivalent) they lie. Then when they get prosecuted for those lies they complain about how that’s not a real crime and they are being picked on.

The GOP went post-truth over voter fraud some time back during the Bush years. It's always the same routine- Big headlines & scary officious raving about illegals voting, obviously for the dirty Democrats. When it all comes to nothing, they do it again, and again, and are somehow believed, again.

It corrodes public confidence in the whole election process, quite by design.

Either he will not post anything about it, or he'll say that eventhough these happen to not be true that there's still trillions of illegals voting in every town.

We can blame the war on education for the fact that the average IQ of the country has dropped to less than 100. In order for that to happen in a country of almost 350 Million people, 50 Million people or more are basically turnips that are allowed to vote and own guns.

The Zombie Apocalypse has already started or haven't you noticed the millions of mindless drones around you, the only difference between this and the movies is the fact that they aren't trying to eat your brain yet.

There is nothing amazing about how far some people in this country have fallen into the spider web of lies that the GOP has spun ever since Reagan. Hell, there are a few that are believed by most people today.

I'm not sure what this "war on education" is... But you're right... It's terrifying how many people in this country believe whatever they're told by the media without any research whatsoever.

Heck, there are millions convinced that Lebron James is the best basketball player ever...

I disagree about eating your brain. They are not literally looking to eat your brain, but, they do very much want to control the thoughts, feelings, beliefs inside of it.

Funny that they've been making this claim for so long, when there are 161,000 different precincts in the US which would be independent points of detection for any readily-determinable fraud cases, and so far there are only enough bona fide fraud cases to count on both hands twice for the last decade ongoing. And the biggest fraud case to hit the news since long before Trump? The recent fiasco in North Carolina perpetrated by operatives on behalf of Republican Mark Harris.

The GOP today is filled with die-hard sore losers -- so sore that they must lie and cheat in desperation to steal power from the People.

And if you say they weren't losers in 2016, remember they got help from Putin and the GRU.

Lo-o-o-o-sers!

What are the odds of Trump ever coming into contact with the correction?
Or that he could even conceive of being... mislead? Wrong? Him!? NEVER!!!

Zombies eating brains

I know this I will be 45 this year. The brain eating part wasn't meant to be serious although talking to some people makes me feel like my brain was sucked out of my head aka I can feel my IQ drop from others stupidity.

Well . . . if stupidity rubs off on any bystander like me, then I've quarantined myself from further contamination. Two family members ordered to stay away; two or three businesses I've boycotted, and they know why.

A year or so back, someone posted a thread and discussion about "the limits of tolerance". And my tolerance is worn down to nothing.

I think the new favorite term is "illegal takedown".
