I wonder how government would work with an (I) president and a (D) or (R) house and senate. How would that affect supreme court nominations? Would the legislative gridlock be better or worse?

Gary Johnson is by far the best candidate running, even though I believe Obama has a been a decent President and Romney was a good governor and would make a decent President himself. It's a damned shame we don't have a major party capable of recognizing this.

And a vote cast is never wasted. Even if you write in Mickey Mouse, you're still showing the parties that you're involved and participating, just not seeing what you need to see to vote for them. A vote for Gary Johnson is a protest against the two parties as well as recognizing Libertarian principles - in addition to Johnson's own qualities.
 
Ok, so i looked up this guy and as soon as i saw a photo of him I had an urged to just punch him in the face. I didnt even read up on him, just the photo did that. I guess its my NYC upbringing hating bumblefuck inbred politicians.

Disagree. Imagine if every election cycle there was a measurable and consistent increase in the number of voters going third party, along with the corresponding decrease in those voting D and R.

You don't think that would make the entrenched and default parties very nervous, and perhaps serve as a wake up
call?

His vote is definitely not wasted, especially if you are of the opinion that the D's and R's really aren't all that different in the end, if you can look past the silly wedge issues they use to keep the partisans arguing with each other.

All votes count. The people who tell you your vote doesn't count are the people afraid of your vote. These people try to convince you a vote not for their guy is wasted - because plain and simple it's not a vote for their guy, it weakens their guy.

You can see the attacks just in this thread. They are attacking me, but the reality is, they don't care about me - they already lost ME. What they care about is YOU. They are attacking me in the hopes of swaying YOU. Swaying you away from a vote for Gary Johnson or Ron Paul or whoever you choose to vote for because it's "wasted" and SETTLE for voting for their douche bag.

a vote is only a waste if it is cast without the expressed intent to support whomever or whatever it was cast for. If you're voting AGAINST something, then you should NOT vote for something else just in spite of it. I hear idiots say oh you're cutting off your nose to spite your face, that's exactly how I feel when you dumbshits tell me you're going to vote for the "lesser of two evils" pathetic. the lot of you. To those who vote for who the believe in, even if it is Romney or Obama, more power to you. The sad fact is though you're either ignorant of them or you're ok with lying to yourself about them.
