Rape is not clearly defined on this forum. Which law's jurisdiction are we going to be referring to? Moreover, maybe he's not talking of a legal definition, but a cultural one.
It is well understood that rape involves sex...everyone knows rape is a sex based crime. No sex, no rape. If you try to force sex onto someone and fail, you are not charged with rape - you are charged with attempted rape.
Seriously, do you think anyone does not know rape requires sex? Even the standard (non-legal) dictionary requires sex to have happened.
EDIT: I have realized this is getting sorta off topic, altough that is an interesting point...is it? It is a discussion about something which is a troll thread...in a thread discussing trolling...hmmm
