Maybe Ill ignore this thread from the other room.

does the other room have better WiFi coverage or a network jack? maybe I should join you...if the connection is better...you know...

Guess that didnt work so well. I got bored in the other room so I managed to splice into the main data pipeline. Not only do we have a screaming fast network connection now, I am also able to view what you are all looking at. So dont tell me you are all ignoring this thread. I can see you lurking. :D As for all the other stuff you are looking at, well.. I wont mention who has a keen interest in nicola roberts, I'll just let you all figure that out for yourselves.:)

I didn;t even want to be a mod in this forum, as nobody ever violates the rules here, we are all too nice. It would be a boring job....

CPU forum on the other hand....

You seem to be doing very well over there. ;)

As far as getting the nomination, it looks like I have a decent lead (if it holds up)

What I really meant, was in DC, everybody is nice, in the CPU forum, quite often there are flames, like in the thread on the cost of distributed computing. I even came close to flaming one of them, as they wouldn;t answer my questions, and they kept saying they knew more than all the universities did ! Thats just wrong.

Close, that was a full on assault, though I am of the impression that Myocardia or whoever is a self absorbed prat who looks to light fires. In the future however when I run in to people like that I either ignore them or just link to discoveries that DC has made and move on, if they think that it is a waste there is very little we can do to convince them otherwise, other than remind the others involved in the conversation that their opinion is that of the minority.

If it is any consolation I voted for you in that forum.

Thanks Narzy... If I win, I will have to be more "lame" myself, as I will be representing the forum.

Well every family has a black sheep in their attic. I guess some people see me that way.

In that particular thread, I believe the intent of the OP and some of the others, was to deliverately cause discored and I decided that there wasn't too much restraint called for, but all of you are right that it doesn't do anybody much good to flame away.

I appreciate the tolerance a lot of you show me when I mouth off.

Sometimes I just believe that there is such a thing as TOO politically correct and go ahead and voice my un censored feelings.

I am not sure it is really in everyone's best interest to never post unless it is something rosey and warm.

-Sid

(My posts might not show it, but I really do respect this place and when you see me pull out the trout, the motivation comes from a place that really ain't so bad)

What would I do about what specifically? Being exercised right at the beginning if I became a mod? I think it would be fun. :) Or were you referring to something else?

Well, I don't have a cane... Instead of a ban-stick, could I use a ban sword. :D

EDIT: This is my replica of the Buster sword from Final Fantasy 7 (pic).
