Vote now for Gordon Freeman here

He's currently going up against Snake and it's a very close fight.

UPDATE:

FREEMAN WON!!!

Next round, Ryu. Vote for Freeman here

UPDATE #2:

Ryu was easy enough, Freeman set him down 59% to 41%.

Can the Freeman beat out Link to make it to the final show down? It's close again! So far... vote here.

UPDATE #3

FREEMAN WINS AGAIN! He beat Link 59.4% to 40.6%. I don't think many expected that to happen.

And now Gordon Freeman is going up against Mario for Gamespot's All-Time Greatest Game Hero. And so far... believe it or not... Freeman is kicking some serious plumber butt. VOTE FOR FREEMAN HERE!

FINAL UPDATE:

AND THE WINNER IS...

NOTE: If you've never played any of the Half-Life series, Valve just made it easier...

Some of these are retarded. Pac-Man vs. Dante, 55.7 to 44.3? How the hell did Dante get so many votes? Bub & Bob vs. Sonic, 50.5 to 49.5? wtf?

I personally think the story and character development in the Metal Gear series blows Half-Life away. I likes Half-Life but it never made me feel in touch with the lead character, Gorden. He was always stagnant.

let me guess, you also like quentin tarantino movies?

i really don't think hideo kojima has a coherent thought in his head. long, non-sensical cutscenes do not a good story make. but maybe i just don't 'get it' because i've never played any of those games in their entirety.

Well then see. I've played both and love both but MGS1 was such an awesome game that nothing still blows me away like that game did. HL1 blew me away but not as much as MGS1 did.

Same.

I also voted for snake.

Right now:

Gordon Freeman - 50% Votes - 49450 Votes
Snake - 50% Votes - 49426 Votes

It couldn't get any closer.

We must help the free man.

if it was 49450 to 49427 it would be closer. The closest would be a true 50-50 tie such as 49450 to 49450...

How is it possible to even vote for snake? Like, This really, really, shouldn't even be a contest.

easily could be ~50,000 console homers that haven't even played a Half-Life game
