Hey you guys probably won't believe me but i don't sell these things just wanted to let you all know about em...

My gym started selling http://www.vortexportablemixer.com/ for 13 bucks and i said what the hell since a regular shaker is like 7 anyway... its just cool as hell. Completely smooth protein shake (not that protein is thick, but regardless)... and you can drink it while its mixing hahaha.

anyone else have one?

Looks cool, but defeats the purpose of portability - "Simply run the Vortex under water immediately after use." Sometimes blender bottles sit in my trunk for 12 hours+ :Q

I'm speechless. Have we stooped so low? Are we truly so lazy that we can't shake a bottle to mix up a protein shake?!

Dunno about you, on pushes day after I finish off a rough workout with skullcrushers, and on pulls day after I do the same with 21s, my arms are pretty much dead. I use one of these and my shakes are deliciously frothy. I've spent a full 2-3 minutes shaking one the old fashioned way and it doesn't even compare. If you need the portability and have access to a water fountain the one the OP linked sounds like a really good idea.

Really? I shake my blender bottle for about 10 seconds and it is completely mixed. It's much better than the shitty free GNC shaker from back in the day.

WTF? I assumed the product as for mixing shakes with solids in them, like eggs, fruit etc. Protein powder doesn't require a blender, I just mix it with a spoon, very few chunks.

A shaker bottle or even a spoon will get the job done, but it won't give you a delicious frothy shake like a powered mixer.

Yes and this is a happy medium... and for 13 bucks its not like I'm wasting tons of money for a cool little gadget. I've never made anything with a power mixer but this makes a nice shake.

Its easy to clean, just like any other shaker because there is no metal blade to worry about...

Good point, I've always just stirred mine for some reason (I just use powder and water and only have them once in a while now), might make the next one in the blender at home to see the difference, although I hate cleaning that thing :).
