VooDoo Rush in PC. What's single vs. dual planar?

I'm doing a free setup for my nephew's inlaw's pc. What else is new.?
Inside is a voodoo rush. I went to download drivers just now and downloaded both single and dual planar.
The label on the back of the vid says:

VC PCI 3DFX VOODOO RUSH
179 13467 9/24/98

There's only one port on the external panel if that's the point.

Some (not many) had a daughter card attatched to the main PCB. These use the dual planar drivers. All the rest use single planar.
