Couldn't they have gotten a temporary page setup and running all this time? Nothing fancy but simply the news would have done.

edit: wait, gamefan owed voodooextreme money? i thought they were just all part of one network?
 
Yes, gamefan which I think is owned by express.com owed voodooextreme money for banner ads. Express.com owes a lot of people money. I think all the gamefan.com writers were recently fired too, or was it express.com employees? Can't remember.
