Dear Friends

Does anyone know where to get the voodoo 6000 drivers from. I understand that there are only a few floating around, but I need these drivers for testing purposes. I appreciate any exact locations. Thank you in advance.
 
Thankyou ever so much guys. I have been told that these give huge performance increases to a Voodoo 5500 AGP card. Thanks again folks.
 
Let us know if it DOES improve V5 performance... I have one and could sure use a boost! (Of course, that's because my processor SUCKS!!)

I have never used the Omega drivers, but try using the voodoo 6000 drivers. I heard somewhere that these can increase performance by upto 50%

I'm using them currently, and yes they do give a big performance boost. Aswell as that they actually improve the colour and clarity! My voodoo now has even better 2d, I don't know whether that is because these drivers were at a more advanced stage when 2dfx went tits up, but they do work well.
 
I'm sorry, which drivers were the ones you used, Omega or V6000? How much was the performance gain?
Anyone used the V6000 drivers??

Hello everyone,

This is my first post to this forum.

I downloaded the Voodoo 5 6000 drivers and have been using them the last few days on my Voodoo 5 5500 agp card without any problems except one. When I run Sachs Marine Aquarium at 4 sample FSAA it gets jerky even though I'm getting 57 fps. At 2XAA I get 110 fps and it's smooth as silk. With AA turned off I get 155 fps!

With the latest 5500 drivers I got 75 with AA turned off so the 6000 drivers can double frame rates. I would like to know if anyone else is having any problems using these drivers. My only one has been that described above, which I can live with.

I just installed the 6000 beta drivers and my benchmark score in the Mercedes Benz truck racing demo at 800x600@16bit no FSAA increased by 15.6 fps. Not too shabby.

Edit: For some reason, these drivers screw up the graphics in Tribes so bad that it becomes unplayable. Alot of things become see-through and distorted.
 
i just tried these drivers and have been playing soldier of fortune as late as last night in which the game has been flying(cpu at 1250mhz with voodoo 5500 at 175) and I just installed these drivers at default and rebooted and this game is running extremely sluggish and paging to the drive making the game unplayable. Im switching back, maybe its just not gonna improve all games?
