Voodoo 6000 benches right here:)

where are they gonna get 1.33 and 1.2 GHz Athlon CPUs?

its fake. anyone who believes it is a moron
[edit] i'm a moron. i didnt see it was a 1ghz athlon OC'd[/edit]

Thats why i believe they are a hoax, hardly mentioned the v-6000, although the scores they recieved are what i would expect to see from the 6000

They never said it was a V5 6000 review which more or less means that they are using a V5 5500 and it was a typo. I don't think anyone will type an entire review just for the heck of it...then again there are many idiots on the web.😉

I could tell you why they would write an entire bogus article Raging....simply for hits on the page 😛

It's not a hoax. I just bought one. It blows DDR away. I won't need another Video card for at least another 6 months. No-one can tough me in UT. Now how do I overclock this 1.33ghz athlon?

I can't say I buy that. There are some really odd numbers there. For example, at 1gig it's at 109,7fps. All fine with that. At the same res. and all, at 1.2gig it's at 110,5... hmm.. sure.. I guess the card is maby starting to limit the scores, reaching it's peak. Oh... but guess what. With all the same settings, when it goes up to 1.33gig, a less increase in cpu speed then the last time, the fps jumps a whoopin 25.5fps up, resulting in 136,5fps. I just can't see that as normal. There definetly seems to be some abnormality here.

Unreal at 1280x1024 Normal settings:
1.1gig - 109,7fps
1.2gig - 110,5fps
1.33gig - 136.5fps

Ok, I know Unreal is really weird and all concerning benchmarks, but I don't think I've seen something like this before. And this is only an example, if you look at the scores, and compare them.. it does seem a bit strange. I this really is a V5 6000 then I could understand it a bit better since the card isn't out yet and those drivers must still be on a development stage. But if that is so, I must say those guys/gals weren't in they're right mind. They definetly aren't quite cut out for the job if they think these would be reliable.

IMHO this isn't reliable stuff.

Um.. it's out?? Where have I been.. oh well.. ignore that part of what I wrote above.

Edit: or.. were you talking about the processor?

He's not talking about either Do'Urden, he's being a dink plain and simple, just ignore nef posts like that 🙂

what a dumb site,
There ain't no way you can overclock 1ghz to 1,33ghz. You'll have to use the FSB (10*133) and that has never reached that high. It'd be like overclocking your P3 100 fsb to 166fsb...

Weird scores for a typo too : voodoo5500 => 50+ fps in 1600*1200? I don't think so...

hoax

That don't look right. I was expecting better scores. Remember on Hard OCP (i think that was the site), they said they saw the V5 6k in action running Q3 @ 2000 something res (again, can't remember the details) with pretty good FPS?

EDIT - Forgot the resolution part. 😉

"You'll have to use the FSB (10*133) and that has never reached that high"

it has if you know what to cool. most people with athlons only overclock with the multiplier, and then put the FSB to its normal max (110 or so). but if you're a serious FSB overclocker, the motherboards that Athlons run on are different then BX's, becuase they require 2 special parts to be cooled quite a bit (ie, a good heatsink/fan).

one of course is the northbridge, and the other (as far as I remember) is a timing chip. or something like that (hey I don't even OWN an Athlon).
