I don't know about that..I've heard people say they go for 10k sometimes..

This guy doesn't even know if his card works. Not much collector value if it doesn't work.

I don't know about that. As a collector's item, especially something rare and obsolete, it might not matter that much if it works.

3dfx PC Accelerators. So fast, it's kinda rediculous.

I know I won't be able to afford the card by the time 9 days are over.

voodoo 4's and 5' 5000 5500 4500 are not worth maybe $25.

They were mass produce, hense have no value.

The 6000 was never mass produced hense that sucker is worth $$$.

Looking at the pic in the auction, it shows the intel bridge chip. This means this card was one of the first versions (prototypes) of the 6K and it most likely won't work very well, if at all. Click below for more info.
V5 6K Intel Revision

why would anybody actually buy this to use???

This for show only folks, still worth a chunk of change.

Thats one BIG piece of history.

"They had the copyrights? Wow. "

3dfx bought Gigapixel it was a company who developed the gigapixel technology.

V5 6K Intel Revision

Actually, if you look at the guide above, you can see that the 1st revisions had a large Intel chip, unlike this one. The one up for auction has the smaller, black square chip by 'HIT' or sumtin'. It actually looks like one of the later revisions.
