Voodoo 3 tv out problem

I have a v3 3500 I believe that has tv out. It looks like an s-video connector on the card then a cable that plugs into it for composite. Well I plug my tv into the card and I can see everything on the screen from startup.

The problem is it looks terrible! The text is very hard to read. I went into the setup and tried some settings on the tv tab and have the resolution set 640 x 480 at 60Hz.

Is this all the better I should be seeing this or is something out of kilter here? I was hoping to use this machine to hook to my tv so I could check email and do a little surfing. Do I need a better card to do this or is there some tweaking that I have over looked?

Bump for help.

I did a search and found someone said to install vr drivers. I tried that also the results are the same.

Can someone tell me if this is all the better this card is supposed to preform? If it is I'll just have to look for a better a card with tv out.

Thanks

I have a Voodoo 3 3000 and as I recall the TV out did look pretty crappy. I think it depends on what kind of TV and how you hook it up. A new TV using the S-video cable will look much better than an old one using composite. I only tried it a few times and never did get it to look good.

Thanks for the info my tv is only a couple of years old but it doesn't have a s-video connection. It looks like I need to get a new video card.

Thanks again.
