Very funny stuff, although it's not for everyone. I have a sizeable collection of Vonnegut books. Great stuff.

I agree. For an intro I'd recommend either Cat's Cradle or Slaughterhouse-Five. The latter is one of my favorite books.

Extremely well written, though of course you don't have to believe everything he says - just like anybody else's work.

i second those!
sirens of titan is one of my favorite but its not necessarily the best intro.
cats cradle is my favorite.

My respect for a man I already respected has just doubled. :)

BTW I think I've read all of his works. If you like Vonnegut, try Tom Robbins as well.

that was one of my favorite moments as well.
as was the bit about being treated like a toy the some child recieved for christmas.
anytime someone who was firebombed by his own people says "these guys are being treated worse than i ever was," you know its bad.

finally got time to read it. great stuff, as always. loved his books and quotes in high school. and yes, he's still got it. there will be no other like him.
