Vongo - stream movies legally

Just got the mailer (score one for the marketing dept) ... you have to have their software (free download) and there's a 14-day trial.

The movies are 500-700MB and there's a PPV option. You can also stream to your tv if you have the means.

I just can't find how much the subscription fee is monthly... http://www.vongo.com/

Uh... doesn't it say $9.99 per month right in the lower left corner on the first page?
oh it just flashed by in the main screen for me and then disappeared. The lower left corner just says "welcome back..." etc.

Oh they actually show the movie selection now, when i originally heard about it, it didnt actually tell you what movies were available on vongo.

It looks pretty cool.

Video and sound quality?

At 500-700mb like the OP mentioned the movies should be like a high quality divx rip from a dvd.
Eh...not very appealing then except for maybe portable devices.

?....That's DVD quality

Is it? 700 MB DivX encoded? No loss from MPEG-2?

Would 5.1 sound be retained?

Yeah, 5.1 is possible

I didn't mean NO LOSS ... but pretty close

Like making a BMP a JPG ...
same resolution ... smaller file size ...
you probably couldn't tell teh difference
