Im planning on getting vonage, what im curuious about how will the service work with my current router which is the linksys wrt54g version 3. the routher/phone thing vonage is going to send me is the linksys rtp300. Im assuming they should work together without any problems.

they should work fine
have mine plugged into a non wireless 4 port linksys now, but hopefully will be moving to a wireless g one soon

only suggestion I have for you is to make sure you setup QOS on the router

was having problems with ours until I figured out that it was so bandwith dependant

why not just replace your existing router with the vonage one?

edit: nevermind. just realized the wireless part. should work fine. you should be able to configure the wireless router as an access point.

QOS= Quality of Service

It will ensure that the vonage adapter has enough bandwith to make/recieve calls without issues

Especially if you are downloading things depending on how much your using the phone might not work well or at all without QOS

Linksys QOS setup

Considering Vonage offers your exact Linksys G router with their VOIP service built in, I dont think you have much to worry about ... I also have setup Vonage service on a couple Belkin's & a Netgear G router with no trouble at all.

Edit: Now that I think about it, a friend of mine even has a generic Comp-USA B router with Vonage working perfectly...if that POS works anything will!
