^ I've seen that before but that's still priceless. I'm sure the sound he made had something to do with it too.

Anyone actually throw up just from seeing something?

No sight, smell, or taste has ever gotten me...I'm curious if it really happens or if it's just Hollywood.
The only time I've ever thrown up was from violent illness, which I think has only happened 2-3 times in my life.

I have had quite a few cases of extreme diarrhea, sometimes as high pressure streams that splash and spray everywhere.
I blame it on the rotten food and poison that I frequently consume, due to my low income and severe hunger pain.

Let's just say that Strawberry Quik does not calm the stomach when severely hungover.

Did you try to smell carrion?

That gave me dry heaves but I moved upwind before actually vomiting, not sure if it'd have actually happened had I kept actively smelling it.

Almost once from some military training, showing you how to use quickclot, they sliced open a pig's artery (one of the legs) then used it. I don't normally get squeamish, but something about that just started giving me the face tingleys, still does thinking about it.

EDIT: to clarify, this was a video, they weren't slicing open hundreds of pigs for training for a bunch of e-3's.

Another one was recovery photos from a downed aircraft, personnel included. Again, almost, but not quite. You don't unsee some things :\

Just being near a massive amount of maggots has always set me off.

I mean the real ones, I was not inferring anything.

It must be a reaction to them in general.

The act of throwing up is pretty disgusting. But I swear, the relief I get after hurling is the best. If I get the tiniest feeling that I might need to hurl, I go do it and get it over with. There's just no fighting it. I know I'll feel instantly better after it's over with.

As long as it's coming out of one end at a time, it's manageable.

SO true. Was on the can with horrible food poisoning and in the middle of high pressure diarrhea when the urge to vomit came. I had no idea what to do so I threw up in my lap as I vainly fought the vomit. I threw the shower curtain aside and leaned over to puke in the bath tub next to the toilet...in the middle of high pressure diarrhea. If it had been solely a stream, the damage would have been restricted to the floor and lower portion of the wall. Instead the stream was varied by explosions, no doubt caused by vomit heaving which sent the fermenting broth spouting viciously over everything in the immediately vicinity. While vomiting I knew what was happening to the bathroom behind me and was powerless to stop it. Ended up redecorating pretty much most of the bathroom with poop juice. Everybody knows projectile vomiting but nobody talks about projectile diarrhea. In 15 seconds the entire bathroom had become a biohazard zone with many toiletries becoming thoroughly covered. Threw away toothbrushes, my fiance's hair ties, an entire bag of dental flossers and an open jar of noxyema that had mud land in it. How do you clean a hair dryer that has been shat upon? That also got thrown away. Every toiletry item that could be cleaned was salvaged by dipping in a bleach solution and scrubbing with the toothbrushes. My fiance's perfume bottles, hair care products, an entire row of cosmetics and shaving items all were dipped, scrubbed and set to air dry. Had to clean the vomit in tub too and then fill it with hot water and bleach that I used to mop up the floor and vanity with towels that got laundered (these towels were hanging on the bathroom towel bar and were not spared from the carnage). With laundry going, I took a shower and all traces of the bathroom disaster had been cleaned up. All in all, it took about an hour. I made sure to have a wash basin in my lap everytime I used the toilet for the duration of my food poisoning illness.
