Volume?

I have a IBM thinkpad 600x and I noticed with headphones pludded the volume doesn't go all that high. Anyone had this problem? Is there a way around it? right now I have to mess with the synthisizer in Winamp to get it to so I can somewhat hear it, but I like my music loud.

Right now I have SP1 and I haven't tried looking for any of the drivers for the hardware on the thinkpad. Should I look for them? It looks like windows took care of them but windows blows so I guess I should look for some. Let me know what you guys think about those questions. Thanks.

did you try Start -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> volume control

and then turn up all the sliders? (Main, wave, etc).

Yes, I'm going to pick up some other headphones to see if it is just the set I got. But I've tried everything that windows has for adjusting the volume.
