All of a sudden, my volume control keeps moving down to no sound. When i try to raise the volume, it immediatly continues to move down to the bottem of the sound meter.

anyone help please...this sucks with no sound.

so far i have tried running every system restore date i could, and reinstalling all of my sound drivers.

well, for some random ass reason....it just fixed itself. But if anyone else has had this problem, any thoughts on how to keep it from happening again?

lol...yes, i use the windows firewall, and Norton Systemworks, but don't think that was it...but thanks for the advice.

A thumtack might hold it up. lol Never heard of that problem though. Not sure if the Windows call is just a request for amplification or is actually tied to the amplifier of the card. If linked, perhaps it could fall as the amps power fades if it is unstable. Anyone else know?

Dell had that problem on laptops a few years ago. The CPx and i series had a bios problem that needed to be flashed. The volume control would just drop by itself.

Haven;t heard of it recently.

Ya, it' is really really wierd. But this is a custom built computer, and i shouldn't have much or any spyware or such, cause im cautious about what i download.

oh well, maybe someone else still knows?
