Well I dont know how long this problem has been going on but I would say atleast a couple months but just never noticed it alot. I use winamp to play my music normally and I keep my computer on and play music for long periods of time and stop it and start again later. The problem is that the volume will be at the right spot just for me and at random times when it starts a new song it goes very dim sounding, I can turn my speakers up more but then it gets this loud humming noise from my speakers but that isnt the problem its just cause I have everything hooked up to 2 amps and the speakers are 15"'s 
. But now back to the problem, the only way that fix's the problem is when I restart and it is very annoying to do that everytime I wanna listen to music loud and without humming. I am useing the sound card that came with my mother board which is a ASUS K8V Deluxe and it use's soundmax software and such. Please help me out for my ears sake.
