Volume Gain for the Audigy 2

i have a problem with my wireless headphones. when i turn up the volume on my headphones, i start hearing noise at about 70% volume. the problem is: the sound that is natively output by my Audigy 2 Soundcard (at max volume settings in windows) is so silent, I have to set the headphones to about 80% volume to hear everything clearly.

my question: is it possible to configure the Audigy 2 so that it outputs the sound twice as loud? then i wouldn't have to turn up the volume so much on my headphones, thus eliminating the noise.

I would think it's the sensitivity of the cans not the Audigy Card so you could Mute out the other output controls to eliminate excessive noise.

Get an Audiotrak 7.1 Prodigy. It has a mechanical built in headphone amp that you can toggle on and off with the click of a mouse.

Open MediaSource Go! and there select the mixer. Check here that the WAVE, MIDI and other sound sources you use are set to maximum
