I noticed that my mobo (msi 645 ultra) doesn't give the right voltages (ie @ 1.85volts, it only gives 1.8 ~ 1.82 volts). I could get my 1.6 ghz to post at 2ghz, but the voltage isn't enough. Does anyone know how i can dish the right voltage for example 1.85volt setting gives my cpu 1.85 volts? I noticed that this problem occurs in sis 645 chipset mobos or maib even all socket 478 mobos. Thanks.

yes it is typical for actual voltages to be lower then selected voltage.
in here i think most ppl usually mention their actual voltages as not to confuse anyone.
i personally dont recommend going over 1.85v on a willy unless you have an extremly good HSF and case cooling.
also - does your bios vcore reading agree with your windows reading?

I don't like using windows software reading, but i believe i used my fuzzy logic 3 and it stated it was at 1.82 volts, so that is close. It would be awesome if my williamette hit 2 ghz tho, and it was able to post at that speed, just need more vcore. i bought an all aluminum cooler master heatsink (which was kinda cheap) but it really does a good job cause the fan always blows cool air and the heatsink is colder than the room temps, it even remains cool when playing jedi knight 2 for a long time. I also made sure that the contact was good between the cpu by using the cpu to smear a thin coat of arctic silver to the heatsink.

Nice oc dbal? The problem is for me is that i have an sis 645 chipset, which dishes out the wrong voltage (ie, if i set it to 1.85volts, it only gives me 1.8 to 1.82 volts max) Now i have been able to post at 2 ghz ( a 400 mhz oc) but it isn't getting enough voltage, which i can tell since many even 121 and up are kinda unstable and irratic due to not enough voltage. Is ther anyone way to correct this voltage. My other voltage settings such as 12 volt psu and 5 volt are ok and stable.

How can u be so sure it's a vcore voltage problem? My ASUS serves the Willie 1.81v maximium when set to 1.85(highest possible through bios) as it is now....I think it's sth else blocking u from going stable over 121FSB. Maybe the chip, the PCI or AGP buses don't know.....can't tell for sure cuz it's a diff mobo but I have a definite feeling it's not voltage....
Most probable reason? Your certain Willie itself as a chip (all batches are not the same o/cers even at the same speed) plus the fact that Willies can rarely go higher than 2 Ghz and yours has 100Mhz less headroom for that.....
