Voltage question

I currently am running 2 volts into my 2400+ M so I can get 2.55 stable, my question here is, I feel that I can get more mhrz out of this baby with some more volts. Would it be a good idea to do that (I would never go above 2.5 voltages)?

I am running it on a thermaltake volcano 12+ and it idles at 95*F and loads at 121*F. So cooling is not a problem.

I am not expecting my CPU to run for a very long time. I plan to upgrade to wahtever in the summer. So, given my condition, should I see what my max stable overclock is?

It's not the greatest of ideas to be at 2V now. 1.85v is generally considered to be the limit of safe operation aircooled. And you are right in not expecting the cpu to last very long at insane V. What board do you have that allows 2.5V?

Ahhhh 2.05V. I knew a few boards went 2.2 or 2.3, but never heard of 2.5v. It's your $$ when it blows, so if it doesn't bother you any, go for it. You won't see any real performance gains, but risk is all part of the fun.🙂
