:eek:Hi everyone,
Just set up a new P4T-E with a 1.9 cpu and a Enermax 450 power supply ( from old system)
The core volts should be 1.75, but actual is 1.72 to 1.17
Under load this drops to 1.70 to 1.71
Both Asus Probe and MBM 5 show this.
The 3/ 5/ 12 volts do not change.

1/ Would this be power supply or mother board ?

2/ Is there any way to check the AGP voltage ? ( 1.5 ) Where does this come from, 3/ 5/ 12 ?

Thanks,
Mort

1. power supplys can degrade over time. who old is it? also as a counter-balance - try to raise the voltage and see if it stays higher. if it does you probably have a bad board, if it stays at 1.70 - you prolly have a bad psu.

:eek:The power supply is about 1 year old.
If I rase the core voltage,it does go up,but still drops under load

feel the power supply. is it hot?
try unplugging everything but min system (vid/mem/cpu) and see if the voltage still drops.

:eek:Sorry ,
System is running quite good. One problem is when I try to move large files over network it kicks back to desktop or reboots.
Thanke,
Mort
