voltage or cmos or card or ???? what the &*^%

i just put together k7-s 1.33 and crucial ram, g2pro-t64d, sb x-gamer,deskstar 7200, pioneer dvd, tdk rewrite - loaded one at a time with out a hitch. untill i got to the ethernet card it locked up my computer as soon as i booted. I talked with a tech at telocity and he had me take out the sound card and put in the ethernet card my it self (they can conflict with each other) still no go. by the way the ether card works fine on my other machine.. also my new machine shows i am running at a slow 1000mhz. the cmos is set to default because if i change them that locks it up as well. I know one thing at a time....... 😕 oh yea win 2000 pro:disgust:
 
What is the make and model of your mobo? K7-s doesnt help much.
It is possible someone has that same mobo and can post info
to help you.
