Hey everyone,
Has anyone out here tried to do a voltage modification on a GF4 Ti4200 card, and if so what were the results? I'm just wondering if it will be worth my time. I realize the risk involved, but I figure that this is kind of old equipment, so if I smoke it, Oh well.... That just gives me a great excuse to buy new stuff. :)
Thanks,
Michael

Look here.
If you are on stock cooling be careful with the voltage. You should be able to gain 25-50MHz. If you have an old cpu cooler laying around, put it on the card and you'll get a lot further.

I would say go for it. Like you said, if it dont work, then you can get a better card.

I had an inno3d piece of shite card that was DOA, the place I got it from wouldnt replace it, so I tried the volt mod on it just for kicks, and whatta ya know, it made it work! Still is going strong i my folks's puter too.
