Voltage limits of X1900XTX

Hey guys. I just installed my X1900XTX and I must say I am quite impressed thus far.

I was wondering however, what are the safe limits of voltage for the X1900XTX.

Currently I ahve the voltages set to:

VGPU- 1.475v
MVDDC- 2.217
MVDDQ- 2.217
VDDCI- 1.5v

I'm running 702/800 with these voltages stable. Using an Accelero X2 my temps are 46*C idle and 73*C load during 3dMark 06.

Are any of those voltages too high? Room for more?

I would say you are safe to increase the core voltage until your load temps hit 80 deg. C. It's a case of diminishing returns from there as you get smaller core speed increases with each step in voltage unless you can dramatically lower temps(water cooling).

That's just what I set it to.

use ATI tool to determine when you need to raise voltages -- ie when the speed you request makes windows crash. Then go back and raise the voltage by a little.

You shouldn't need that much voltage but as long as there are no artifacts or the temps are below 85, then you should be fine.
I think watercooling is a must with an x1900 card... too freaking hot for me even with an Accelero X2.

well I'm at 710/805 with my current voltages, anything higher locks up 3DMark. I think I'm content with these voltages and speeds unless u guys think the voltages are to high.

I wouldn't go much above 1.5v on air cooling. Currently I'm running 725/1670 @ 1.5 vcore and load temps are about 75C with the stock cooler @ 100%.

I think I got the worse overclocking XTX on this planet. I can only get 710 stable at 1.5v

Still finding the max on the memory though.

I think the problem with my core overclock is the temperature. I can run higher than 710mhz, but once the core temp gets to 75*C or higher in ATI Tool, I get artifacts.

I guess you really do need watercooling to overclock these beasts.
