I have an ASUS A7V with Athlon 1Ghz , ATX Midi case 300 W and 4 yrs old ,Win '98 SE . I just installed a Realtek "cheap" NIC adaptor - it seems to be working well . I now have PCI 1 and 2 - empty , PCI 3 - SoundBlaster , PCI 4 - Realtek , PCI 5 - USB .The ASUS Probe utility sometimes appears with a notification of a momentary voltage drop , and it's immediately back to normal . Is this because :
1. The instalation of the Realtek
2. A problem with my home electricity supply .
3. I touched/moved something critical within the case when installing .
4. Something else .
