I posted this thread when I first saw the coupon was going for anything, and in the 3-1/2 hours I got it to work, I got in 28 transactions, and all 28 confirmations were received. For curiosity, I called the bank, and my CC has 26 holds on it from Dell, so that's a good thing (I'm just trying to figure out which two don't have a hold though!)
Ended up with (2) of the original Maxtor drives I posted about, (3) of the Barracuda drives at $10 lower (but I wanted the ATA133 drives for my RAID solution), (2) of the LiteOn CDRW drives, (3) of the 16x DVD drives, surge protectors, Firewire cables, etc.
Sorry about the gloating, couldn't resist. Today, I took the day off from work and caught this here at home. Any time a $ off coupon comes out, I always test it in a few of the areas, and I catch these about once a month to work in one of the areas for any price. Problem is, my web connection at work won't let me send out messages to this forum...and by the I get home, the deals aren't working anymore.
Don't know what I spent yet (since two orders don't look to have been charged), but I couldn't pass up these deals with all the computer work I do. I'll try to get these "finds" out in time again as I find them, and hopefully a few more of us can take advantage of them.
By the way, my Dell rep we deal with at work tells me that they are going to be having a "customer appreciation" coupon day in August. He said it would "be big", "less than a day long", and "a 50% off coupon" that can be used for anything but systems and monitors. Anybody heard anything about this?
