VOIP - What is it called when you want 2 or more lines to ring on phone all through your house

We just moved into our apt and id like to use voip for our personal and business.

Heres what im looking to do

2 phones in office
1 fax in office
1 kitchen phone
1 bed room phone

I want each phone to show what line is ringing so i know whether to asnwer for business. A friend of mine told me to go voip but what exactly should i be looking for.

I have sunrocket, and with the phones they gave me for free, you can have different ring tones for different phone lines... thats how we distinguish one from the other.

Yeah, PBX is the acronym you were looking for, but not the feature you are looking for.

Sunrocket and Packet8 offer a virtual-number feature, and like someone else mentioned, have the capability to do different rings based upon which number is being called.

I just got the Sunrocket packet today, took less than 10 min to set up. Crystal clear, very happy I made the switch from cable phone service.

Got the 15 months for $199. No free phones but meh, I'm satisfied.

It's nice because I have friends and family back home to take advantage of the free "other" phone number with an area code in their location.
