VoIP setup questions

I went with AT&T instead of Vonage for a few reasons. First, I trust AT&T to have uncongested servers - they're AT&T ferchrissake. Second, I can get phone numbers in my native area code.

So, I have a few questions before I start running the neccessary wiring.

1) Should I set it up INSIDE, or OUTSIDE the router?
2) On the equipment that they provide, do they use screw-downs or RJ11's?

You could have always used Vonage on an AT&T provided network.

You should put the VOIP outside the router.

Internet -> VOIP -> Router -> Computers

I just placed an order with ATT, too. Waiting for them to transfer my number over. Wonder if anyone not succeed in getting the number transferred.
