U may not want to disconnect your analog fone if u want to do some FAXing.
Last week, J&R has a special for a packet8 device for $60-$60 rebate. Check it out at J&R

Vonage rules. I've had no problems with faxing. Just use a DSL filter in reverse and it works like a dream. Gotta love saving 30-40 dollars a month plus all those moronic taxes! :)

Taxes are more than the damn phone bill. I can't remember the exact numbers but the bill itself could be like 6 bucks and with taxes it will come out to like 30-40.

BroadVoice.com

Unlimited in-state for $9.95+ (is $11.45 w/tax) / month.

First month's bill was $66.69 .
Meaning $55.24 for all other startup charges (widget, S&H, installation, activation, blah, blah, blah)

Unlimited domestic $19.95+

IMHO, can't be beat!

Has beginner's / growing pain issues - no E911, yet.
Caller ID has number, but no name, yet.
etc.

Even so, as a "second" line for my teenagers. a true win, win, win!

FAX does not work for cable modem folks.
