How does Pravda Vodka rank compared to all the others?

I finally got my $5.00 off coupon for their product in the mail. (from the
"Free Stuff" section of the forum)

thermal paste remover = alcohol?
I can't spell isopropyl alcohol without consulting a dictionary (which you just forced me to do :p). "Thermal paste remover" is much easier.

perfectly apt description  Vodka--and all consumable alcohols--however are ethyl alcohol, or ethanol. isopropyl is rubbing alcohol. methanol...well, let's not go there (jsut remember to stay away from the shaddier looking moonshine)....

smirnoff = crap. grey goose can be really good straight, but vodka in general is not a good sipping alcohol, imo. it just tastes like alcohol, which is pretty vile. all of the finer wines, liquors and beers are rated well for many reasons; perhaps chief among them being how successfully the pure alcohol taste is masked

They have a medicinal taste/smell to them.
I've found that true of most types of liquor, but vodka seems to be the major culprit (but again, I normally only get cheapo stuff). It just tastes more sterile than other types.

Kahlua, on the other hand, is quite palatable on its own. But I'm also a coffee addict, so even if it did have an afterbite, it still probably wouldn't turn me off :D.

like Jadow said, I'd recommend Skyy or Svedka. Svedka particularly for its value. It's cheaper, and also significantly better than brands like Smirnoff. Skyy is as "premium" as I go when it comes to Vodka...

Oh, I added a period at the end. The Gorilla can do it, so don't discriminate against us Cheetah's for not just editing a post.

it's a man's drink they say.

I like beer and tequila. I can pound down a case in a day easy, a bottle of tequila same...tequila though gets me doing things I don't remember so I am careful with it. I get all touchy feeling with chicks...most insist I wasn't drunk the next day. Worst experience was with a financee that left with my best friends for a beer run (she needed a feminine product). They came back as I was with their two chicks in bed we were all naked. I woke up in my car with her driving yelling at me. My friends thought it was funny as hell, fortunately she forgave me when she wanted to do tequila with me. She said it was interesting, I wasn't myself.

The vodkas/rums/congacs and the like get me feeling sick though. I have tried even the top shelf they don't show in the bar.

vodka is supposed to be flavorless...I can definitely taste it though. What's that mean?

I love Stoli. But in times of dire finances, I can still do shots of Aristocrat.

Panzy. I have everclear in the freezer.

I haven't read through the thread, so not sure what all has been said...but honestly, if the vodka's chilled, there really isn't much of a difference in taste between plastic-bottle fare and something like Grey Goose...

...however, you WILL feel the difference the next morning. Cheap vodka is cheap for a reason, and you'll understand what that reason is when your head is pounding for a good eight straight hours.

you do know about the cheap vodka "hack" right?

get a brita water filter, dump the vodka in there, let it go through the filter once or twice, and makes it taste almost as good as the expensive stuff! just have a seperate brita filter for vodka only :)

vodka is def. my favorite liquor and i love grey goose, but if i''m w/ my cheap friends

They've done this on MythBusters. The filtered vodka tasted slightly better, but buying the filters is usually more costly than buying the decent stuff in the first place.

Svedka tastes great for a vodka. And the price is great. I try and remember to get it when I occasionally buy vodka.

If you'd like to try some better Vodka's without getting into Grey Goose or Belvedere type costs, try Skyy or Svedka.

vodka is not meant to be flavorless.

Reyka (I think) and Lukosowa (sp?) - those are some very smooth vodkas.

I am polish and I can tell you without a doubt stay away from the cheap Wodka!!
Luksusowa - potatoe wodka!

There is also Chopin - potatoe
and belvedere - 100% Da^kowskie Gold Rye both polish.
Wyborowa

Zubrówka - Rye
Goldwasser - made in gdansk, poland is a unique wodka very tasty because they use herbs to make it.
Gdanska Zlotówka -- herbal wodka`s with gold flakes, regional Wodka`s
Zlota Woda

There ar way to many Polish brands to list them all!

A lot of the upper class polish people drink the Gdanska Zlotówka - with the gold flakes.
Which is nothing new but it`s interesting!

Peace!!

Russians existed a long time before Thermal Paste. So I suggest the question should be: Thermal Past Remover - supposed to taste like Vodka?

Which begs the question: Just how much Thermal Paste Remover did you drink?

Big difference my friend. Do yourself a favor, if just once. Buy yourself a handle of Grey Goose, and enjoy that until it runs dry.
