Vodka in freezer, how cold is too cold?

This is probably a stupid question but how cold can vodka be before its too cold to drink safely?

1- Cool vodka in freezer
2- attempt to light cool vodka on fire
3- if 2 successful, not cold enough, cool more

might require some liquid CO2 or nitrogen.

If it's frozen solid (which requires temperatures lower than what your freezer can achieve), it might be too cold, otherwise don't worry about it

unless you start mixing your vodka with liquid nitrogen you're gonna be fine.

I was at a bar that used liquid nitrogen for some of the drinks and I was curious if the bartender had ever used it to freeze 80 proof liquors before....he proceeded to make some frozen tequila and frozen vodka with strawberries in it for some of the girls hanging out. The nitrogen evaporated (I assume, I don't know if that's the right term) pretty quickly and then it was just a matter of waiting for it to warm up a little bit so as not to freeze burn your mouth.

The only reason to put booze in the freezer is to make it so you can't taste it. If you are trying to mask the taste, either buy better vodka or drink something else that you actually like.

This - The cold dulls the taste of the spirit.

Not that Vodka really has much of a taste, since the trend for a long time (for premium vidka, anyhow)has been to distill, re~distill, and then distill again to remove any 'impurities'. Some of these 'impurities', of course, also provide flavor.

I don't believe it's a big deal at all to chill/freeze it if you're using it for mixing. - The mixer is going to mask/change the taste anyhow, so what difference does it make if the spirit is chilled beforehand? So you Bourbon and Coke fans should still feel free to freeze the hell out of whatever's in the bottle.

Just be advised that a fan of Scotch would recoil in horror (and might even beat you mercilessly!!) should you place a fine bottle in the freezer. 😉 Neat, please. With spring water on the side.

lol, people mask the taste because it's nothing but ethanol dissolved in water, and ethanol tastes like shit. Even if you buy "better" vodka.

OP, your underage status is totally showing. Lots of people store their vodka in the freezer all the time, not just when they want to drink it.
