Running the setup program of the latest as well as the previous version of VNC on their website will do nothing. I can switch to task manager and it will be there but otherwise I get nothing on my screen... Anyone else ever had this problem? Ive never used this software nor any remote access software previously.. Anything to lookout for?

Make sure you're getting the latest distribution from this site, not any other VNC site. I've been using it to access other computers and access this computer (in app mode, not as a service...no need for it here) flawlessly with my win2k laptop.

Occasionally, it may take a bit for many setup apps (and it's been long enough since I've installed VNC to remember if it was one of these) to get going...just wait a few minutes for it to come up instead of killing it immediately (unless task manager lists it as unresponsive).
