does anyone use this ?

i'm using in a linux ( slackware 8.0 2.4.19 ) box and win98 runs fine except for the sound and gl drivers.
a simple mp3 is not well played, looks like you're playing it on a 486 dx :////

how to make sound work ? how to install gl drvs ? i try but just vmware svga II is recognized ://

3D won't work at all, even if it did it wouldn't be able to run fast enough to be usable.

Sound can play fine, in my box running Win2K in VMWare the sound is almost always fine even when playing movies. Check out VMWare's newsgroups, there's a lot of information there and some of the developers read them too.

Why not play the MP3s in Linux with xmms or mpg123?

I've never been able to get very good results playing sounds in VMware, and 3D doesn't (and probably never will) work well in a virtual machine.

I actually just tried playing some MP3s in VMWare and WinAmp skipped like a b!tch but MS MediaPlayer didn't, no idea why.
