VM-Software for 32bits processor

Hi all,

This looked like an easy enough bit of info to find on the net but surprisingly it wasn't...

I have a laptop with a Intel T2080 processor that is really running well. I want to run a virtual machine on it to test our site. My processor has VT-x support but is not 64bit capable. Is there any VM software that would sun on my processor?

Toshiba Satellite Pro A120
Intel T2080 / 4GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bits (well, obviously)

Regards,
Maarten

VirtualBox and, my favorite, VMWare Workstation should work just fine. As above, you will be unable to run 64 bit guest OS's, you'll have to use 32bit ones. But other than that you'll be fine.

Thank all.

I forgot to mention that I tried to install VM-Player but got a warning that it could not install because of the 64bit processor requirement. Apparently this limitation doesn't apply to the payware versions of VMware?

Workstation 8 and other products of using that generation VM (ESX 5, Fusion 4, Player 4) require a 64bit processor. For a 32bit processor you'd have to use a VMWare Workstation 7 generation product.

You should be able to use VMware player 3.1.5. There is a link on the player download page for the older versions.
