VLC 0.99 released!

I love VLC. It sure beats having to look for the right codecs so that WMP can play different file types, plus it does a good job of playing (and de-interlacing) my high-def TP files that I record from my OTA antenna setup.

Yup, that's such a huge advantage with VLC... you can just get rid of the hassles with installing different codecs. 🙂

I love VLC! VLC can handle anything I throw at it except .3g2 file format. It plays the video, but no sound. Gotta use SUPER player for those.

I like VLC, but MPC-HC has replaced VLC as my main video player for a while now.

KMPlayer is better.

isn't kmplayer a knockoff of mpc?

i like vlc, mpc and zoom player. i've been using mpc exclusively for a while, but vlc will probably dominate once i leave windows.

Agreed. I always loved VLC, but I tried KMPlayer and it blows VLC out of the water.

Too bad KMPlayer is listed on FFmpeg's Hall of Shame for violating (L)GPL license. Personally I don't want to support such software and developers.

That's a very valid complaint. It's no different than taking Vista, changing the name, and calling it your own.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm gonna try KMPlayer out!
