I've been having issues with my $2299.99 Philips 50" plasma. If they have a coupon to get it around $2500 or $2600, maybe I'll pick it up.. I just wish it was 1080p native.

Go buy one and tell us all how it is! ;)

Looking at the specs though, what the hell is POP (Picture outside Picture)?

What does this mean? It says 720p, then says signal compatibility 1080p? Does that just mean it can receive a 1080p signal and display it as 720p?

My 56" 720P DLP looks great. I imagine a 60" 720P plasma would look even better.

Do you put any 1080p content through it? Blu-Ray, HD DVD?

Nope. I put plenty of 1080i/720p content using my HD-DVR, and lots of upconverted DVD titles. I don't pay more than $6 per movie or $20 per season; once HD-DVD/Blu-Ray drop to that price level (with a good standalone sub-$200 player as well) I might consider it.

Someone please explain why they develop a whole new freaking panel, and make it 1366x768?? What is so difficult about 1280x720?

The native resolution is not full hd.

50" panasonic plasma for $1450....extra 10" not worth the price gap. Especially since I would rather get a panny plasma over a vizio.

I don't understand how they can make a 60" plasma and have it at the same resolution as the 50"? (which I own) They need to make it 1080P resolution.
