The cheapest I've ever seen this was at costco for $999 (and that was after a several hundred dollar coupon). AVSforum members say this is a fairly solid set. 1366X768, built in HD tuner, 8ms response time, decent contrast and brightness.

Even better, there is a code for $2.99 shipping. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post that... but if you search I'm sure you can find it.

I'm really tempted to pick one of these up for the bedroom.

Monitor Grades:
Grade B - Monitor is in Great Condition (many vendors would sell these as "A Grade"),
Has slight Cosmetic Blemishes, examples of which are (but not limited to):
Slight Scratches in case
Slight Scratches in the screen
Hairline Crack in Case
Dead Pixel (3 or less)
Missing Control Door
Slight imperfections in the AGAS (Anti-Glare, Anti-Static) Coating

I think I will also pass

$2.99 shipping? does it come in a box?

They have a promo this weekend where anything over $20 is shipped for only $2.99, but you have to find the promo code. They sent it out in an email so I'm sure you can find it somewhere.

Also, I would probably still consider buying this for the bedroom, even if (worst case) it has a hairline crack somewhere, a few dead pixels, and some light scratching here and there. That shouldn't bother me from 8 feet away.

Yeah, but still not bad for a second TV. I have 3 kids, so would see this type of damage after a few months of use anyways.

the tv shown in the pictures looks pretty good! if we can see this in person, it may be good buy. but what you see if not always what you get... i'll pass 🙂

Good price for a bedroom set anyway, at least 10ft away from the set, mounted on the wall in some cases.
My $0.02

Checked it out at a local Sam's. For $678 shipped, I could definitely live with it. Didn't pull the trigger last night as I waited for the $2.99 shipping to resume today, and missed out.

Oh well...

Does anyone have exprerience with reburb LCDs from Geeks? "Grade B" does not sound very promising:
