i have this in my studio apartment so the size is perfect for me. the image looks real nice for sports and video games (xbox 360) but for movies the black doesn't seem to be dark enough. hdmi works well enough and I have had no issues with this tv.

i don't use the speakers because everything goes through my receiver.

When I looked at it in the store the black seemed ok to me. I'm not that picky though. As long as I get a good picture and it sounds good (no home theater) I'm okay.

Costco has a great return policy if I end up hating it or it breaks.

Friend of mine bought a Vizio 51 inch plasma for about $3200 from Costco last year. It's got a decent picture, but he is taking it back because he realized he could get something the same size for half the price if he was willing to not do the plasma thing.

That's the type of warranty abuse that ruins it for everyone. The dumbass should have looked into prices before purchasing something. Now a year later he's returning it just because he feels he overpaid?

What a jackass.

So far my only gripe is the built-in sound stink. I'm going to spend some more time setting it up today.

yeah I get a little upset when people do that. If you take it back within 2 months or so its not so bad. How long has he had it, just wondering.
