Visual Studio .net

Hi Programmers,
I want to get Visual Studio .net at work. I looked it up on the web, and there are 21 versions to choose from. (including Govt, Charity, Enterprise, Pro) For someone who wants to do high speed video, instrumentation I/O, and maybe some web programming which version do I get? (What's the best version)

Professional Edition would be best unles you plan on doing large enterprise wide projects.

Right. Other variants are usually different licensing packages (Gov't, Academic). Same software, different pricing. If you are a student and don't plan on selling your software, acadmic might be an inexpensive way to get VS.NET.

Yep, Jobs stole it all from PARC before MS stole it from Apple

Of course the folks at Xerox PARC had no idea how to bring their inventions to the marketplace, so Jobs does deserve a lot of credit for that. Without him, you might still be using a DOS keyboard-only interface.

Steve Jobs you're a legend! I suppose he currently has a lot to do with the development of the OS I use the most.
