Visual Studio.net Help

I have a legal copy of Microsoft visual studio.net 2003 that I got through my school. My problem is that this program has issues installing just on HP computers. I talked to my teacher about it he said that there was a way around this problem, but he couldn?t find it again. I?ve called Microsoft and HP with no luck from either. I?ve also tried google with no luck. Please help! I?m about to start pulling some hair out. Thanks!

it says that the system requirments have not been meet. This problem is only happening on HP computers. The program does not even start the loading process.

Does your HP meet the requirements?

Win95 won't work, for example, and if you only have 20 MB of disk space there isn't room.

Does the install message say which specific requirement is not met?

I intalled the program on my PC with no problem... the first set is to check the system requirments, and preq. On my HP notebook it said the system requirments have not been meet and you must reboot to(i think it said something like to fix the problem, but not in those exact words) after the reboot the same thing is happening. On my PC it just asked for the Preq. cd and installes fine.

I don't think has anything to do with spec. other then i'm running home and not professional.

OK, you're running XP Home and you think you have enough free disk space (have you looked?)

Do you have the latest Net framework 1.x installed? You might try installing it since it will update bits of Windows, one of which could be the problem.

first make sure you really do have all the pre-requisites installed.. run 'drive:\WCU\setup.exe' to force the installation of all prereqs.
open up the command prompt and type "drive:\setup\setup.exe /NO_BLSN_CHECK" (tells setup to bypass the checks).
