"Visual C++ Runtime Error"

Hi. I have a problem that occurs on every user account on my computer, except for mine (the administrator account). When in another user's account, I get:
"Visual C++ Runtime Error - Runtime Error! - This application has requested the Runtime to close in an unusual way. "
message everytime I try run ANY application.
I thought that this may just happen on the guest accounts so I made another administrator account. The same happens for that account. I have never had this error in my initial administrator account however.
How can I fix this?
