Vista's Network Xfer Speed Accuracy?

Hey guys! I'm coming from an install of XP x64 and relied only on DU Meter for my network transfer speeds. As many of you know, Vista reports the speed in the copy or transfer window.

My question is how accurate is it? DU Meter says I'm transferring at about 30MB/sec (which is about what I got with XP x64 sending to a 2003 Server RAID array) but Vista says it's going at about 15MB/sec. Which do I rely on? I've been using DU Meter for several years now and it's always been reliable. However, I don't know if it's handling Vista differently and is doubling the rates or which program to rely on for speed accuracy.

Thanks!

EDIT: I just did a timed and calculated transfer. As it turns out, DU Meter reports DOUBLE the data transferred! It says I sent about 400MB when in reality I sent 190MB.

Now to figure out what's going on. I knew it felt a little sluggish than what I'm use to, but where to look! I have no firewall running on either end at the moment and DU Meter is only monitoring the active ethernet connection. It currently and consistently reports double the amount transferred and twice the xfer rate.

The real kicker is that my Internet download and upload speeds are accurate and match what Internet Explorer/FTP says my rates are.

I've noticed bugs in Vista setups since the beta days where the performance monitor and Task Manager / Networking were both reporting double the transfer rates. It's come and gone with various OS and driver updates. If you're having this problem, you should be able to see similar doubled results in Task Manager / Networking, and any tools which use the internal performance monitor counters would be similarly affected.
