Vista X64 or 32bit, Which is better

Well, I got copies of both 32bit and 64bit. I am wondering which is more stable at the moment. I want to install 64bit to accompany my Opty165 but I am not even sure if it's better than the 32bit.

Another questions, Besides drivers, does all the software that works on 32bit work on 64bit.

Maybe I can do a dual boot ... 32bit windows and 64bit windows on two partititons.. >Is that possible?

Thanks

i don't know, i am running 64bit and there is no x-fi support. so i may switch to 32bit later. i have heard people say that 32bit is faster at this point but i haven't seen any numbers anywhere to confirm this

#1 question would be which sound provider are you using? X-fi appears to be nonfunctional on either. Audigy 2/4 should be fully functional if you install them properly

imho x64 is extremely stable for a beta. it is now my primary OS. check my sig for hardware, at this point the only thing I haven't gotten drivers working for is the printer.

i am using x64 as my primary OS except for anything that needs sound. seems pretty stable for light use except for some hiccups in the beginning

I am currently using x64 for my primary OS as well. Color management is the only thing that doesn't work, but I don't think it works in the 32 bit build either (I use a Gretag Macbeth i1 Display2 colorimeter) so I don't plan to switch unless I hear otherwise. It runs well enough on the X2 system under the link in my sig.

Onboard sound here on the DFI LP Ultra-D. Thanks to the beta bios from Nvidia, I got sound. Almost everything is working... But A lil bit of a Overlcocking problem with Vista.

What was ROCK stable on Xp is no where close to stable on Vista. 🙁.....

I had a bit of trouble with x64. Most everything worked, but it was very very slow for me. x86 is great though and it's currently my main OS.
